Overall: Rachel Location: St. Charles, MO Date Posted: 10/13/2011 03:12:38 PM | Great Cookbook!
When I first received Gooseberry Patch 101 Hearty Recipes I flipped thru the book trying to find something I could make for dinner from the stuff I had in the house already. Unfortunately, I hadn't been to the store in a while but I came across a few recipes that looked great that I could do. However, when I came to page 48: Mom's One-Pot Pork Chop Dinner, I knew I had to go to the store! It just sounded so delicious and the picture looked amazing! Off to the store we went! This was so easy to make too! All you need is butter, pork chops, potatoes, carrots, onion, mushroom soup, and water. Total cooking and prep time is less than an hour and not much work is involved. The recipe makes 4 servings as 101 Hearty Recipes is great. It has something everyone is sure to love. This book is very durable, it has a sturdy spiral binding and thick covers. 112 pages full of yummy recipes for the whole family! The contents page has every recipe divided into 4 tasty chapters; Fun & Filling, Speedy & Satisfying, Casual & Comforting, and Baked & Buttery.
I've got quite the list of recipes on my "To Bake" list: Red Velvet Cake Balls, Peanut Buttery Chocolately Cups, Open-Faced Lone Star Burgers, Raspberry Upside-Down Cake and Frosted Cherry Drops. I could go on and on!
Needless to say, I won't have to think of any dinner ideas for a while. The biggest challenge is gonna be what to make next!
