Featured Tip: Turn a plain white pillowcase into a whimsical snowman! Stitch some buttons; eyes; a nose and mouth on a pillowcase; and then stuff with polyester fiberfill. Secure with a length of ribbon at the top and tie on a scarf...a terrific way to wrap a gift too!

I am quite a fan of Gooseberry Patch cookbooks and have been for about 13 years. This cookbook was a gift from a friend and I find that not only do I use it year round and during the holidays, but it also becomes part of my holiday decorations. I love to send the Ho-Ho-Hot Chocolate Mix to friends as gifts, having Santa's 5 layer dip as a treat to eat during a football game, the Cheesy Ham and Corn Chowder is great for a cold night and comes together quickly, the creamy chicken tettrazini is a meal fit for company, the homemade eggnog is great for a party or cookie exchange, and finally, the french mint cream brownies take a little time and patience, but OH, the fantastic result! These recipes are easy, they are wonderful, and they are the reason I buy Gooseberry Patch cookbooks again and again!!!! |
