Guestbook entry:
Acts of Kindness,I was always brought up by my mother to respect our elders.I always, either will open a door or let them go first into a place I am visiting, and always say please and thank you to the waitress or waiter for anything they do for my table. So,thank you for letting me share.

Veronica from Modesto, CA

Guestbook entry:
Driving thru Starbucks I noticed the young man behind me fervently looking for enough change to pay for a cup of coffee...when it was my turn to pay I told the lady behind the window that I wanted to pay for the young mans order...on condition that she would tell him, he someday had to pay it forward....she smiled and said thank you...I have to wonder if that young man ever did paid it forward..one thing I do know, he will always remember, there are people in this world who do acts of kindness..Mission Accomplished!!

vivian from williamsport,paUSA

Guestbook entry:
I drive sr.s to friends and family as they cannot. I bake cakes and or cookies and give away to Sr.s I dog and cat sit for them so they can go to relatives/friends without animals being removed from their environment. I deliver meals on wheels 3 days a week to Sr.s.

Linda from Lufkin, Texas

Guestbook entry:
I enjoy paying for someone's meal in a restaurant and remaining anonymous.I also like to see that there is a supply of toilet tissue and paper towels in the ladies' room in the building where I work and do it quietly so that there's always a supply but no one knows who does it. I enjoy being alert for opportunities to do "random acts of kindness" that will make people smile even though they don't know who did the deed!

carolyn from ohio

Lee from Ste Genevieve MO

Guestbook entry:
I love to crochet, one winter when it was bitter cold I tried to make a sock cap for my boys. It Worked, it even looked like a sock cap. Since I try to do a good deed everyday, I thought I would make sock caps for the homeless out of scraps of yarn. That year I made 12 sock caps and took them to a soup kitchen in St Louis for them to give them out as they see fit. That went really well and was well received. The following year made 20 sock caps and 8 throw blankets. This past year more sock caps are being made, when time allows, and I have 10 throw blankets made and 20 quarts of produce since we had a boutiful garden this year. That is my way of giving back.

Your cookbooks are the best ever. My whole family enjoys them and its the one thing my mother and I share in common. Your fall decorations are the best. Thanks for your creativity and sharing it with all of us.

Karen from New Glarus, WI

Guestbook entry:
I was recently in the Wisconsin Craft Market Store and overheard a teenage girl telling her mother that she really wanted a certain set of paintbrushes but they were quite expensive. The mother replied that she could not afford the set. I simply walked over, handed the girl a $50 bill, and said early Merry Christmas. The girl and her mother were stunned. They said thank you repeatedly and the girl gave me a big hug. I said that I usually try to do this anonymously before Christmas to someone in need but had overheard their conversation and decided that Christmas was early this year. It gave me a wonderful feeling for the rest of the day.

Shannan from Aztec , NM
