Add variety to meals with garden-fresh sides & salads like Lemon & Mint Bowtie Salad, Corn & Bacon Sauté and Broiled Oregano Tomatoes. For dinner, how about Country Chicken & Vegetables that Grandma would be proud to serve? Try a satisfying meatless main like Cheesy Ravioli Bake or a hearty main-dish salad like Chicken-Broccoli Rotini Salad.

Delicious, Healthy and Fun!

I LOVE "Fresh from the Farmstand" (and not just because my praise of Gooseberry Patch was published in it!) It's always helpful to have new, but tried and true, recipes for healthier eating rather than to prepare the same veggies and salads all the time that tend to bore the family. I was especially pleased to find the "Spaghetti Squash Monterey" recipe in this book. It was a wonderful introduction to this vegetable for me! My family and I now enjoy this side dish very much! You will like the Breakfast ideas (Scrambled Egg Wrap - yum!) and Appetizers (love the Marinated Bocconcini!) too! This will be a much-used addition to your Gooseberry Patch collection, and it's a super introduction to Gooseberry Patch too!

I am published!

While I generally like Gooseberry Patch books, cookbooks and web recipes, this one published my cherry tomato meatball recipe (as in little cherry tomatoes that can overwhelm the garden late summer--not any fruit) so received this hardcover free. The recipes tend to be realistic for what you'd have at home on hand or local farmer's market or your own garden.

Great!!

Love the cookbook--the Carrot Cake is the greatest! Moist and the family loves it becuae it has no pineapple, the applesauce makes the extra moisture. This is a cookbook you can use all year long, not just for the summer. May new recipes that I have not seen. Pick one up and ejoy the fresh foods of life!
